Agaña Heights is a central village that overlooks the capital city of Hagatña. It is part of the Kattan (Eastern) District. Agaña Heights was once a ranchland where villagers from Hagatna raised their cattle and horses. It is home to historic Fort Apugan, also known as Fort Santa Agueda, located next to the Government House. The village also features Tutujan Park, completed in 2002, also known as “Triangle Park” for the triangular shape it takes located at the fork of the road separating San Ramon Hill from Pale’ Kiernan Drive. The village was once known as Tutujan, derived from the CHamoru word “tutuhon” meaning “to begin, start, or set out.”
